Hi, I'm Taylor, founder of The Event Edit by Taylor. I have a background in performing arts and have spent the last several years working across events, partnerships and community engagement in Christchurch. I have always been the person in the room who notices the details, the one who stays late to make sure everything is right and shows up early just to make sure it looks good.
Events have been a constant thread throughout my life. From a little girl up until now, I have always been the person planning the themed birthday parties. From intimate gatherings to corporate wellness days, quiz nights, ticketed community experiences and everything in between, I have planned, coordinated and facilitated more events than I can count with guest lists ranging from 30 to 100+. Long before The Event Edit by Taylor had a name, the work was already happening.
I started this business because I saw a gap. Christchurch has incredible venues, incredible suppliers and an incredible community, but there was no one bringing it all together in a way that felt fresh, fun and genuinely elevated. I wanted to create something that worked for everyone, not just one type of event or one type of client. I wanted to highlight that there is so much to do here in Christchurch, you just need the right person to make it happen.
What drives me is pretty simple. I want people to walk into their event and feel like everything is exactly right. I want guests to leave talking about it. And I want the person who planned it to have actually enjoyed the night.
The Event Edit by Taylor is the business I have always been building. It just finally has a name.
